The Mountain View Mavericks will take on the Legend Titans at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Mountain View's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Columbine 13-0. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Mavericks yet this season.

Tate Baird tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cooper Schneidt, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He also brought in three RBI, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Cade Burnham, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-5.

Meanwhile, Legend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Mount St. Mary.

Legend also got a good showing from Jacob Osborne, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Osborne has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Jacob Fladebo and Isiah Berard stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fladebo scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while Berard scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Berard has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Farley, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base.

Legend's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mountain View, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
