Soccer Recap: Buffalo Grove Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Buffalo Grove and Rolling Meadows had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bison fell 2-0 to the Mustangs on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Buffalo Grove of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Buffalo Grove now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Rolling Meadows, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will square off against Elk Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Elk Grove will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Buffalo Grove surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rolling Meadows, they will face off against Wheeling at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Rolling Meadows will be up against Wheeling's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
