Volleyball Recap: Coastal Comes Up Short

Coastal lost against Southeastern Christian Academy two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurricanes came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0.

Coastal took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-13, 25-14.

Southeastern Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Kaylee Stevens, who had six aces and three digs. That's the most aces Stevens has posted since back in August of 2024. Jade Shearer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Coastal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-7.

Coastal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeastern Christian Academy, they will square off against American Leadership Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
