Football Game Preview: Newburyport Clippers vs. Lynnfield Pioneers + Official Tickets

The Newburyport Clippers will head out on the road to square off against the Lynnfield Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Newburyport comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Friday, Newburyport took a blow against Pentucket Regional, falling 50-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Clippers have suffered against Pentucket Regional since October 12, 2019.

Meanwhile, Lynnfield played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Triton Regional, falling 37-14. The Pioneers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Lynnfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Newburyport, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Newburyport might still be hurting after the 44-21 defeat they got from Lynnfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Clippers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
