Volleyball Recap: Scituate Comes Up Short

Scituate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Quincy Presidents. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Presidents this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Scituate's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Quincy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scituate will challenge rival Pembroke at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Quincy is set to face off against their familiar foe Hanover at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
