Soccer Game Preview: Holy Ghost Prep vs. Penncrest

The Holy Ghost Prep Firebirds will challenge the Penncrest Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Wednesday, Holy Ghost Prep and Franklin Towne finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Penncrest fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Ridley on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 2-1.

Penncrest's goal came courtesy of Regan Campbell, which was the first he's scored this season.

With that draw, Holy Ghost Prep's record moves to 8-6-4. As for Penncrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Holy Ghost Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against Penncrest in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Firebirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
