Softball Game Preview: New Hope Trojans vs. Picayune Maroon Tide

The New Hope Trojans will challenge the Picayune Maroon Tide at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

New Hope is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Enterprise just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

New Hope saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Presley Kate Boutwell, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Picayune suffered their biggest defeat since May 2, 2024 on Monday. They lost 8-2 to Sumrall.

Picayune's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for New Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
