Recap: Greer Yellow Jackets vs. Bluffton Bobcats

The Greer Yellow Jackets struggled with assists on Friday (the Bluffton Bobcats had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Greer fell just short of Bluffton by a score of 48-46. Greer has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greer's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amiyah Clark-Lamelle, who scored 18 points along with four steals. The matchup was Clark-Lamelle's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Samora Moody, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

It was another big night for Tacoya Heyward, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists for Bluffton. That makes it five consecutive games in which Heyward has scored at least 25% of Bluffton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'laina Mosley, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.

Greer has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Bluffton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
