Football Recap: Pendleton Skates Past Carolina Academy with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pendleton). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-6 win over the Carolina Academy Trojans. With the Bulldogs ahead 41-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Pendleton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Zymire Collymore, Jorden Mattress, and Jace Harrison-Whitner picked up one apiece. Mattress has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played.

Pendleton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-3.

Looking ahead, Pendleton will square off against Travelers Rest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Carolina Academy, they will welcome Palmetto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Trojans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
