Softball Recap: Whitney Point Comes Up Short

Whitney Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lansing Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 9-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Whitney Point's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lansing, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitney Point is set to challenge their familiar foe Dryden at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lansing will take on rival Charles O. Dickerson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
