Seaside is 9-1 against Scappoose since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Seaside Seagulls will head out on the road to square off against the Scappoose Indians at 7:30 p.m. Seaside will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Seaside took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 69-27 victory over St. Helens. Given Seaside's advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while St. Helens is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Scappoose over St. Helens in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Scappoose put the hurt on St. Helens with a sharp 61-41 win. The victory was just what Scappoose needed coming off of a 66-42 defeat in their prior contest.
Quinton Olson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with three steals. Brayden Miller was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and two steals.
Seaside is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Scappoose, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.
Everything came up roses for Seaside against Scappoose in their previous meeting two weeks ago as the team secured a 51-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seaside since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
