Softball Recap: Greensburg Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Greensburg hadn't beaten Columbus East on the road since April 10, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Pirates walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Olympians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Harper Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks.

Greensburg pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus East, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Olympians beat Greensburg by a score of 4-0 later that day.
