Basketball Recap: Vail Mountain Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clear Creek last Monday, Vail Mountain came back down to earth. The Vail Mountain Gore Rangers received a blow on Friday as they fell 30-14 to the Soroco Rams. The Gore Rangers were down 26-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Soroco's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kolbie Pierce, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyvia Cox, who posted four points and five steals.

Vail Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Soroco, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Vail Mountain has already played their next match, a 58-28 defeat against West Grand on the 8th. As for Soroco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-39 loss against De Beque on the 8th.
