Baseball Game Preview: Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders vs. Newark Reds

For the second straight game, Palmyra-Macedon will face off against Newark. The Red Raiders will take on the Reds at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Palmyra-Macedon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Palmyra-Macedon barely beat Newark the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Red Raiders never let the Reds get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Raiders.

Not much got past Camron Quick, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Newark off the board.

On the hitting side, Trey Porpora was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Brady Leo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Palmyra-Macedon's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Newark, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
