Volleyball Recap: Lainee Sawyer and Brooklyn Harland Secure Win for Panguitch

While Panguitch's victory against Parowan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Rams on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Panguitch took Parowan into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 24-26, 17-25, 15-10.

Panguitch was led to victory by Brooklyn Harland and Lainee Sawyer. Harland had 35 digs and three aces, while Sawyer had 19 digs. That's the most digs Harland has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Panguitch was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive contests.

Panguitch's record now sits at 20-4. As for Parowan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Panguitch will square off against Escalante at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Parowan, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Wasatch Academy on the 22nd.
