Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Fountain Central's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Fountain Central won the last time they faced North Vermillion and things went their way on Thursday too. The Fountain Central Mustangs came out on top against the North Vermillion Falcons by a score of 41-28. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

North Vermillion lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reagan Bean, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 11 points. Those 11 points gave Bean a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nora Thomann, who posted eight points in addition to ten boards and four steals.

Fountain Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for North Vermillion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.

Fountain Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 34-29 win against Southmont on the 16th. As for North Vermillion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-7 victory against Dugger Union on the 14th.
