Soccer Game Preview: Unicoi County vs. Tennessee

The Unicoi County Blue Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Tennessee Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Unicoi County's last five matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Unicoi County is headed into Tuesday's following a draw, the team's first since March 18. They and Providence Academy finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Tennessee narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Elizabethton 2-1.

Tennessee has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four matchups. Unicoi County's draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-2.

Unicoi County might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Tennessee when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
