Softball Recap: Adena Comes Up Short

Adena was the 11-10 winner over Piketon when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell just short of the Redstreaks by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday.

Jolyn Jett made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Adriana Guarnieri, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Adena's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Piketon, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Adena wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against Southeastern on the 16th. As for Piketon, they have also already played their next game, a 24-7 victory against Huntington on the 16th.
