Volleyball Recap: Carter Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Carter Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Ignite Athletics Flames on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Carter Christian Academy took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-14, 25-20.

Ignite Athletics is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Ignite Athletics will venture away from home to face off against Covenant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carter Christian Academy will be paying especially close attention to Ignite Athletics' matchup: after Ignite Athletics faces off against Lincoln County, they'll take on Carter Christian Academy again at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
