Softball Recap: Collins Has No Trouble Against Carroll County

Collins barely beat Carroll County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-2 victory on Saturday. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Breanna Morris spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Allie Renfro, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Clark, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

The victory got Collins back to even at 11-11. As for Carroll County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Collins will face off against Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carroll County, they will take on Williamstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
