Cabrillo has gone 8-2 against Nipomo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cabrillo Conquistadores will welcome the Nipomo Titans at 6:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Cabrillo and three for Nipomo.

Last Tuesday, Cabrillo was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Morro Bay.

Meanwhile, Nipomo took a blow against Santa Ynez on Tuesday, falling 72-24. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1186th, while the Pirates are ranked 532nd).

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Nipomo, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
