Basketball Recap: Meek Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

With a playoff win on the line, Meek rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Athens Bible Trojans, sneaking past 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since January 9th.

Athens Bible lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was AJ Bradford, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 17 points. What's more, he also posted a 38% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Hester, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 21 boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Meek, bringing their record for this year to 12-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for Athens Bible, their loss dropped their record down to 14-11.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the court as they've already faced off again: they played to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday.
