Newton waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured an 18-14 W against the Redan Raiders.

Londyn Felder and Ave'Onah Mendez certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Felder rushed for 73 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Mendez picked up 63 receiving yards and one TD. Felder also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes.

Newton's victory bumped their record up to 12-5-1. As for Redan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-4 record this season.

Newton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 20-7 win against Central on the 19th. As for Redan, they have also already played their next game, a 20-0 victory against Shiloh on the 19th.
