Basketball Recap: Kenwood's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Kenwood came tearing into Saturday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 74-32 victory over the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Kenwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Walker George, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Danielle Brooks was another key player, going 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Walker George wasn't the only one working in the assist department: Kenwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Perspectives Leadership/Technology lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaylin Morgan, who had eight points. Another player making a difference was Catrina Sanders, who put up seven points.

Kenwood's record is now 27-2. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Kenwood will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Phillips at 7:00 p.m. Phillips has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they have already played their next contest, an 84-22 victory against Southland College Prep on the 11th.
