Basketball Recap: Peck Takes a Loss

Peck lost against North Huron back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Peck Pirates took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Huron Warriors.

Leading North Huron to victory were Ana Champagne and Jentry Zimmerman. Champagne posted seven points in addition to nine rebounds and six assists, while Zimmerman went 7 of 11 on her way to 16 points and seven boards. Champagne is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenna Schornack, who had seven points and 11 boards.

Peck now has a losing record at 7-8. As for North Huron, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

When Peck and North Huron next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Peck will try to stop Deckerville's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on February 11th. Similarly, North Huron will take on Kingston and their ten-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
