Basketball Game Preview: Destiny Christian Academy Lions vs. Antelope Titans

Two dominant guards in Jaylen Valdez and Malichai Brown are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Destiny Christian Academy Lions will head out to challenge the Antelope Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Destiny Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.

Last Friday, Destiny Christian Academy blew past Cordova, posting a 78-37 victory. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Lancers are ranked 934th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Antelope came up short against Grant on Friday and fell 71-62. The loss continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Pacers: they've now lost six in a row.

Destiny Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points over those games. As for Antelope, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

Destiny Christian Academy took their win against Antelope in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 76-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Destiny Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
