Soccer Game Preview: Findlay vs. Clay

The Findlay Trojans will square off against the Clay Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Findlay will be strutting in after a win while Clay will be coming in after a loss.

Findlay took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Ashland a 2-0 shutout. Findlay haven't had any issues with Ashland recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Clay unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against Anthony Wayne, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Clay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 196th, while Anthony Wayne are ranked seventh).

Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-2. As for Findlay, their win bumped their record up to 6-7-3.
