Miami is 2-7 against Follett since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Miami will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

Miami is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped last Friday as they easily beat Panhandle Christian Home Educators 90-18. Given Miami's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Panhandle Christian Home Educators is ranked 200th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jack Kotara had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 106 yards and a pair of TDs. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks, making five total tackles, and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception which he returned for a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Chance White, who rushed for 88 yards and two scores on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Miami was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 407 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 174 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Miami didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. White led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Tyler Anderson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Follett challenged Groom on Friday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 73-28. Considering the Panthers have won four contests by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Miami's record now sits at 7-0. As for Follett, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
