Baseball Recap: Waukesha South Beats Cudahy for Their Third Straight Victory

Waukesha South had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Cudahy on Monday. The Blackshirts were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Packers. The victory was nothing new for the Blackshirts as they're now sitting on three straight.

Waukesha South got a great performance from Bryce Krueck as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Braden Montez was a standout: he scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Petfalski, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Waukesha South's record now sits at 3-1. As for Cudahy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waukesha South will face off against Catholic Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blackshirts are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cudahy, they will square off against Palmyra-Eagle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
