Baseball Game Preview: Neshannock Lancers vs. Serra Catholic Eagles

The Neshannock Lancers will challenge the Serra Catholic Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neshannock is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Neshannock is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering New Brighton just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 4-3.

Ryan Cameron put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March. He was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Nathan Rickel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played.

Meanwhile, Serra Catholic suffered their closest defeat since May 1, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of Charleroi by a score of 11-9.

Serra Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Neshannock, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-3.

Neshannock skirted past Serra Catholic 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
