Softball Recap: Ray Takes a Loss

Ray was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corpus Christi Moody Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Fghtng Texans have lost by just one run.

Kylie Rodriguez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Ray's loss dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Corpus Christi Moody, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-11-2.

Coming up, Ray will head out on the road to take on Carroll at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Fghtng Texans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Corpus Christi Moody, they will host Alice at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Coyotes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.89 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
