Basketball Recap: Daniel Boone Comes Up Short

Daniel Boone was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt an 86-45 defeat at the hands of the Science Hill Hilltoppers. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 28th).

Daniel Boone's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Science Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Daniel Boone will challenge Tri-Cities Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Tri-Cities Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. Science Hill has already played their next match, a 68-52 win against Elizabethton on the 25th.
