Vermilion waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Madison Comprehensive Rams an 8-0 shutout. The Sailors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Vermilion pushed their record up to 9-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Madison Comprehensive, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vermilion will face off against Clyde at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madison Comprehensive, they will challenge Ashland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
