Football Recap: Franklin Starts Season with Win on the Road

Franklin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the LaVergne Wolverines a 20-0 shutout on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Admirals just coasted through the last quarter.

The critical scores for Franklin came from Luke Thompson, Dane Hodgkins, and Miles Putnam.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will challenge Gallatin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaVergne, they will square off against Dickson County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
