Basketball Recap: Brevard HEAT Comes Up Short

Brevard HEAT played a tough matchup on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Florida Prep Falcons and fell 67-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Firehawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-10 back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Brevard HEAT still got an impressive performance from Riley Ellis, who posted 12 points.

Brevard HEAT's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Florida Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brevard HEAT will venture away from home to face off against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brevard HEAT is facing Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Florida Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DME Academy Gold at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
