Volleyball Recap: Mt. Hebron Vikings vs. Guilford Park Panther

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mt. Hebron can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Guilford Park Panther on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panther this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 6th.

Guilford Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brielle Nemenzo, who had 12 digs and three aces. Nemenzo has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chikanele Onukwugha, who hit 65% for 26 kills and ten digs, three aces, and two blocks.

Mt. Hebron's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Guilford Park, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Mt. Hebron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Guilford Park, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Reservoir on the 31st.
