Softball Recap: Northbridge Comes Up Short

Northbridge was the 6-1 winner over Notre Dame Academy when they last played one another back in April of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams lost 10-2 to the Rebels on Friday.

Northbridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northbridge will square off against Quaboag Regional on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.25 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will challenge Advanced Math & Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rebels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 13.4 runs per game this season.
