Baseball Recap: Palmyra-Eagle Wins Going Away Against Faith Christian

While Palmyra-Eagle put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Faith Christian. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Faith Christian. Considering the Panthers have won 14 matches by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Devin Patrick made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dillen Patrick, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Ryan Brodzik was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Palmyra-Eagle has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Faith Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12-1.
