Basketball Recap: Elberta Takes a Loss

Elberta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Escambia Gators on the road by a 48-31 margin. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 31-24 back in December of 2024.

Escambia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyauna English, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Demi Liu, who put up 19 points.

Elberta's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Escambia, their record is now 5-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elberta will challenge Satsuma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Escambia, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tate at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
