Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Dragons vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears

Jefferson is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Cherokee Bluff is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Jefferson Dragons will host the Cherokee Bluff Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cherokee Bluff took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Jefferson was able to grind out a solid victory over East Hall, taking the game 52-41. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Vikings are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Cherokee Bluff's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Oconee County 57-51.

Cherokee Bluff's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-5. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
