Volleyball Recap: Lemoore Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Hanford West on Tuesday, Lemoore came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the El Diamante Miners by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lemoore sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-12, 22-25, 25-22, 18-25, 15-8.

Noelle Gardner paced Lemoore's offense, picking up 18 kills. Gardner got some help from Hailey Ferreira and her 24 assists. Gardner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lemoore's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for El Diamante, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemoore will square off against San Joaquin Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for El Diamante, they will take on Mission Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
