Jackson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They were dealt a 35-6 loss at the hands of the St. Brendan Sabres. The Generals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sabres apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for St. Brendan, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.0 points on average over those games.

St. Brendan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nicholas Gobel led the charge by throwing for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. Those 208 passing yards gave Gobel a new career-high. Julian Hernandez helped Gobel out on the ground, rushing for 70 yards and one TD on only eight carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards.
