Soccer Game Preview: Buchanan vs. Clovis West

The Buchanan Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Clovis West Golden Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buchanan will be strutting in after a win while Clovis West will be coming in after a loss.

Buchanan is headed into the contest having not lost since the 9th and will look to keep things rolling. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Central East on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Buchanan's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Central East are ranked 517th).

Buchanan hit Central East with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Vittorio Parenti, Tyler Diaz, and Jett Baker.

Clovis West had taken Clovis East down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Golden Eagles fell just short of the Timberwolves by a score of 3-2.

Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 11-3-7. As for Clovis West, they now have a losing record of 8-9-2.

Buchanan beat Clovis West 2-0 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
