Haverford hasn't had much luck against Ridley recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Haverford will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridley at 3:45 p.m. Haverford will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
On Monday, Haverford got the win against Conestoga by a conclusive 11-2.
Lucas Rothstein looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Haverford let Ryan Cassidy and Shane Durkan run wild. Cassidy scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Durkan scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave Durkan a new career-high. Sam Sturman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Ridley had taken Garnet Valley down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. Ridley took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Garnet Valley. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ridley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Mansfield, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. That run marked the first that Mansfield scored this season. Another was Shane Rentz, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Haverford's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Ridley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Haverford has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Ridley struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Haverford beat Ridley 4-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Does Haverford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ridley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
