Basketball Recap: Keys Gate Finds Playoff Glory Versus Sunset

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Keys Gate had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They skirted past the Sunset Knights 55-53. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Keys Gate also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Terrance Shannon Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Tristan Brown was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Keys Gate is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Sunset, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Keys Gate will take on Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keys Gate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. Sunset does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
