Baseball Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Manitowoc Lincoln had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Green Bay Southwest Fighting Trojans 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-0 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Cade Grapentine, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Vance Schroeder was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Manitowoc Lincoln lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April.
