Basketball Recap: Cosby Sets Scoring Season-High Against Monacan

Cosby scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. The match between them and the Monacan Chiefs didn't end well, with the Cosby Titans falling 78-59. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chiefs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.

It was another big night for Tai Bowler, who went 11 for 18 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven assists and seven boards for Monacan. With that strong performance, Bowler is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Promyse Dent, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 17 points and five assists.

Cosby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Monacan, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cosby will host Deep Run at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Deep Run has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three contests. As for Monacan, they will welcome Matoaca at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Matoaca will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Monacan surely won't give up without a fight.
