Basketball Game Preview: Biglerville Canners vs. Delone Catholic Squires

Biglerville hasn't had much luck against Delone Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Biglerville Canners just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Delone Catholic Squires at 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, Biglerville was beaten by York Country Day 92-37. While losing is never fun, the Canners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 704th, while York Country Day are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, Delone Catholic came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 50-45 W over the Fighting Irish. The 50-point effort marked the Squires' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Delone Catholic's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. As for Biglerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.
