Baseball Recap: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Skyview Hawks
Ridgevue lost against Skyview back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ridgevue Warhawks fell 7-4 to the Skyview Hawks.
Keegan Randall and Logan Hirasaki stepped up to the plate in a big way. Randall scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Hirasaki scored a run and stole two bases.
On Skyview's side, they got a great performance from Gradyen Lucas as he tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit.
At the plate, Noah Palomares was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and a triple. Tyler Russell was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
Ridgevue's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Skyview, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Ridgevue will stay at home for another game and welcome Bishop Kelly at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Ridgevue is facing Bishop Kelly at the right time seeing as Bishop Kelly is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Skyview, they will head out on the road to face off against Vallivue at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Skyview is looking to tack on another W to their 13-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
