Soccer Recap: Shrine Catholic's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Shrine Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Cardinal Mooney Catholic on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell just short of the North Muskegon Norsemen by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Shrine Catholic were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as North Muskegon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Shrine Catholic fell to 4-1. As for North Muskegon, they now have a winning record of 1-0-1.

Looking ahead, Shrine Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Austin Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Muskegon, they will square off against Whitehall at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. The game will give North Muskegon their first taste of in-conference action this season.
